May 11th to June 4th, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Austria Karin Kneissl delivered remotely a series of lectures on the "Political and Economic Features of the World Oil Market".
The course sparked the interest of the audience. It was attended by 97 Russian and foreign students from 12 graduate and 5 undergraduate programs of different MGIMO schools. Remote technologies enabled students from all over the globe, from the USA to Portugal, France, Italy, the Republic of Korea and China to connect to the classes. Any interested students of the University could follow the lectures on the University’s YouTube channel.
The course was devoted to discussing the most pressing international political problems related to the oil and gas industry and to the analysis of further prospects for the development of the global energy market.
Two classes were held each week in an interactive format. Lectures were followed by question and answer sessions. All students who followed the course have until June 10th to prepare their analytical essays and take the test.
The classes were organized with the administrative and organizational support of the Dean of the School of International Relations and Vice-Rector for Graduate and International Programs A.Baykov, the Deputy Dean of the School of International Relations E.Koldunova and the Deputy Head of the Department of Master's Training M.Apanovich.
