September 28th, MGIMO Rector Anatoly Torkunov attended a meeting in Baku with the President of the Azerbaijan Association of MGIMO graduates Leyla Aliyeva. The sides mulled over prospects for developing cooperation and the Rector awarded Leyla Aliyeva the MGIMO «medal of merit».
In the evening, there was a gathering of MGIMO alumni, which was attended by MGIMO’s Rector, the University’s Vice-Rector for General Affairs Artem Malgin, the President of the «Aydin Kurbanov Foundation» and 2012 MGIMO graduate Samad Kurbanov, the Head of International Complex Problems of Natural Resources Use and Ecology Department of MGIMO University Ruslan Aliyev and many others.
September 29th-30th, the delegation from MGIMO will participate in the Fifth Baku International Humanitarian Forum, where the Rector Anatoly Torkunov will act as moderator of the round table «Different Models of Multiculturalism: from Theory to Humanitarian Practice».
