June 3rd, as the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum was unfolding, MGIMO Rector A.Torkunov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain Abdullatif al-Zayani had a meeting.
The sides discussed the current context in the Middle East and North Africa, the problems of Palestinian-Israeli settlement and security in the Persian Gulf zone, the need to improve regional conflicts through inclusive dialogue and by respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the states involved, in accordance with the principles of international law and the provisions of the UN Charter.
