February 20th, at a meeting of the Council of the Russian Association for Business Education, MGIMO Business School was presented with a certificate of five-year international AMBA accreditation (Association of MBAs, UK).
The certificate testifies to the success of the AMBA re-accreditation process and was handed by the expert of AMBA, E. Zubkova and the General Director of the Russian Association for Business Education, N. Evtikhieva, to the representative of the School of Business and International Proficiency also Coordinator of International Cooperation and International Accreditation O. Fomina.
The certificate reflects the high level of the programs realised by the School of Business and International Proficiency.
There are several stages to the accreditation process, which requires filling out self-evaluation forms and an official visit of the AMBA commission members to the University.
A team of specialists assessed the mission and development strategy of the business school, its financial indicators, the main goals of the MBA, the quality of the different educational programs, their compliance with student expectations, lecturers’ qualifications and the impact studying at the School of Business had on graduates’ career growth.
The commission underlines some of the strengths of the School of Business, including the high level of qualification and motivation of the faculty members, the loyalty of students and graduates, the support of the leadership of the University, the commitment to the principles of the international MBA Association, the exceptional level of English of employees and students along with the strength of the MGIMO brand, both in Russia and abroad.
MGIMO received accreditation for the first time in 2017 for a period of two years. Accredited business schools are part of an elite international network, which offers favourable opportunities for cooperation to the University and MBA graduates. Graduates of accredited MBA programs join the AMBA International Alumni Association and can make the most of the international network of the MBA Alumni Business Community.
