December 9th, MGIMO Rector A.Torkunov welcomed at the University the Ambassador of Israel to the Russian Federation.
The Rector described to the head of the diplomatic mission the current cooperation agreements with Israeli universities and the unique open educational course that has been running since 2018 and was set up by MGIMO’s Business School together with the Israel Institute in Washington. The course program consists of lectures by invited professors on the history of the founding of Israel, how the modern social and political system took shape and current economic, political and social issues. It also considers innovative development measures, regional challenges and Russian-Israeli relations.
The sides agreed to further expand bilateral cooperation and considered the opportunities to launch joint master's programs.
The meeting was also attended by the University’s Vice-Rector for General Affairs A.Malgin and the Press Attaché of the embassy R.Teplitsky.
