The project has for aim to create close ties between the Russian entrepreneurs and their counterparts who made it into the French version of the Choiseul rating. The list of the most talented Russian businessmen aged under forty will be published in April in the framework of the «Choiseul 100 Russia» project with the support of the Russian-French «Trianon Dialogue», which has for Co-Chairman MGIMO Rector Anatoly Torkunov.
During a press conference at Interfax news agency, Pascal Lorot, the President of the Choiseul Institute noted that the organization’s work goes beyond creating a rating, as the objective is to put entrepreneurs in contact and encourage them to exchange ideas and develop joint initiatives. The Choiseul Institute published its first ranking in France six years ago and for the first two years the top name on the list of young French economists was Emmanuel Macron.
The Russian list will include talented businessmen from all over Russia. MGIMO and the «Observo» Center at the Franco-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry are institutional partners of the «Choiseul 100 Russia» project.
MGIMO’s Vice-Rector for General Affairs Artem Malgin remarked that even if each year the Trianon Dialogue selects a new topic to focus on, with 2018 being dedicated to the Smart Cities and 2019 specializing in education, all projects launched by the Trianon Dialogue are seen through to their completion. After the publication of the ranking, a platform will be designed to enable the businessmen from the French and Russian ratings to interact.
The first meeting of the two sides is scheduled for April 18th in Moscow. Participants will gather for a gala dinner and a number of events sponsored by Sberbank Russia. The second meeting will take place in autumn 2019 in France.
