The «Trianon Dialogue» Russian-French forum of civil societies participated in MIPIM, one of the largest real estate and networking events hosted in Cannes, which celebrates this year its 30th anniversary.
March 13th, two events unfolded by the stand of the Moscow Government: the sessions «Grand Paris — Grand Moscow: continuing the dialogue» and «The Metropolis of the future: how to build modern neighborhoods». The speakers reviewed the main results of the «Grand Paris» and «Grand Moscow» projects, continuing the discussion begun at the Moscow Urban Forum 2018, and considered the ways to develop «green technologies» in cities.
Among the speakers were heads of local administrations, directors of major corporations, experts and academics. On the French side, the Manager of the «Grand Paris» project Maurice Leroux, the Executive Vice-President of Bouygues Emmanuel Forest, the Chairman of Viparis Holding SA Michel Bernard and the CEO of Paris Region Enterprises Lionel Grotto participated in the event. The speakers on the Russian side were Vladimir Zhidkin, the Head of the Moscow Department for the Development of New Territories, Sergey Kuznetsov, the Chief Architect of Moscow, Artem Malgin, MGIMO’s Vice-Rector for General Affairs, Natalia Kuzmina, MGIMO’s Vice-Rector for Economic Matters and others.
The delegation of the Trianon Dialogue also attended a seminar at the University Nice Sophia Antipolis, one of France’s most innovative clusters. The sides discussed the organization of university campuses and the work of the Trianon Dialogue. The Deputy Vice-President for Strategy and Development of Nice Sophia Antipolis University, Professor Stefan Ngo Mai spoke about the innovative curricula and the creation of leisure spaces in their University.
On the Russian side, the Rector of Tomsk State University, Eduard Galazhinsky, MGIMO’s Vice-Rector for General Affairs Artem Malgin, the Executive Secretary of the Trianon Dialogue Alexander Orlov and others participated in the discussions, underlining the challenges faced when creating new engineering programs and describing the new initiatives to enhance cooperation between Russian and French universities.
