MGIMO’s 22nd International Career Day

March 16th, MGIMO’s 22nd International Career Day unfolded at the University. The event was attended by representatives of Russia’s state structures, international organizations and corporations. A multitude of students from MGIMO and other universities participated in Career Day. In all, over 3000 people came to the event.

The opening ceremony was kicked off by MGIMO’s Vice-Rector for Graduate and International Programs, Andrey Baykov, who emphasized the international reach of the event and introduced to the audience the Director of the United Nations Information Center in Moscow, Vladimir Kuznetsov. The guest thanked MGIMO for its invitation and expressed hope that the fruitful cooperation between the UN and MGIMO would continue.

For the first time during International Career Day, a seminar was held by representatives of the UN team in Moscow on the opportunities for students to intern and apply for a job within the UN. Students could also attend master classes on how to write a resume, listen to presentations of major law firms, speak to representatives of state structures and corporations and submit their resume for recruitment purposes.
