International Conference “Languages and Cultures of Southeast Asian Countries”

On the 18th of November, the Department of Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai and Lao languages will hold a scientific and practical conference “Languages and Cultures of Southeast Asian Countries.”

The purpose of this event is to promote a more in-depth study of Southeast Asian countries, linguistic and sociocultural characteristics of this region, to increase students’ motivation to deepen their understanding of the region in such areas as “Linguistics” and “Culture”, to give students the opportunity to exchange knowledge with their senior colleagues , specialists in the countries of the region, which in recent years has demonstrated the rapid economic growth and increasing influence in the international arena.

The conference will include three sections:

  • “Languages of Southeast Asian countries”;
  • “Literature of Southeast Asian countries”;
  • "Socio-cultural aspects of the countries of Southeast Asia."

We invite students and specialists on the countries of the region to participate in this event. As part of the youth section, we will also hold student works contest.

The conference is held as part of the Priority 2030, Strategic Academic Leadership Program. The languages of the conference include Russian and English. Form of participation: offline with the possibility of online connection.

To participate in the round table, you must send the title and abstract of the work (up to 200 words) to mgimolangcomp@gmail.com. You also need to add the following information:

  • Full name, academic degree (if any).
  • Place of work (indicating position) or study, city, country.
  • Email and mobile phone.

Works can be submitted until September 30.
