ASEAN Centre continues its series of online lectures titled “ASEAN Academic Days 2021 in MGIMO”. The next guest lecturer is H.E. Haini Hashim, Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to the Russian Federation. The event will take place on April 5, 2021 (Monday) via Zoom platform at 10:30 AM (Moscow time).

The invited speaker will share his views on Brunei’s priorities and goals during its chairmanship in ASEAN in 2021.

H.E. Haini Hashim is an experienced and well-known diplomat, who has spent his entire career in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and served in a variety of appointments at home and abroad, including as Director of the Department of Protocol and Consular Affairs and Director of the Department of Administration. He also worked as a diplomat in Malaysia and Myanmar. In 2012 he was appointed as Ambassador of Brunei to Russia. H.E. Haini Hashim is the Honorary Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts. His paintings were presented at the diplomats' artworks exhibition in the Russian Academy of Arts.
