Russian and French Foreign Ministers at Trianon Dialogue Meeting

November 27th, the Coordination Council of the «Trianon Dialogue» Russian-French Civil Society Forum held a meeting at the Palace of Versailles. MGIMO was represented at the event by its Rector Anatoly Torkunov.

The Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov and his French counterpart Jean-Ives Le Drian welcomed the guests and underlined how important it is to maintain a continuous dialogue between the two countries. The Co-Chairmen of the Trianon Dialogue, Ambassador Pierre Morel and MGIMO Rector Anatoly Torkunov presented the results of the project for 2018 and participated in discussions regarding initiatives to be implemented in 2019.

The meeting was also attended by the leadership of major corporations, museums and think tanks who shared their experience on how to implement joint youth, research and business projects. The new Internet platform of the Trianon Dialogue was presented to the audience as a fully functional Franco-Russian portal for the interaction of civil societies.
