MGIMO at Second All-Russian Conference «Path to Success»

January 26th-29th, the «Sirius» Educational Center in Sochi hosted the second All-Russian Conference «Path to Success» devoted to supporting talented youth in the framework of a larger strategy for the scientific and technological development of the Russian Federation. The event was organized with the participation of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science. MGIMO was represented at the event by its Vice-Rector for Human Resources Vladimir Morozov and the Head of the Department for Work with Students and Graduates, Anton Podshivalov.

During the three-day conference, government officials, representatives of educational institutions, employers and experts from many fields mulled over a myriad of issues related to identifying and supporting gifted young people, for them to join in the medium term the Russian labor market. Presidential Aide Andrey Fursenko attended the event alongside representatives of major companies, universities, think tanks and cultural organizations, which cooperate with the Educational Center «Sirius».

Vladimir Morozov and Anton Podshivalov participated in the plenary sessions, had interviews with representatives of other prominent Russian universities and contributed to the discussion on the creation of specific programs for students having received the President’s grants. Anton Podshivalov gave a talk on vocational orientation and the employment of graduates, based on his own experience working with students and alumni at MGIMO.
