MGIMO Deepens Cooperation With Coursera

September 14th, MGIMO welcomed the regional manager of the company Coursera, Inessa Roman-Pogorzhelskaya. The meeting had for goal to develop cooperation between the educational platform and the University.

Coursera is the largest platform for online learning which offers courses from the most prestigious universities in the world. Earlier this year, MGIMO signed an agreement with Coursera on its participation in the project.

Inessa Roman-Pogorzhelskaya described to the audience, constituted of MGIMO Professors and Faculty members, Coursera's mission, its achievements and priorities for the future. The guest described the opportunities offered by the platform to universities which place their courses online. Today over 140 universities and 17 million subscribers participate in the project. The regional manager also gave some practical recommendations to professors about how to create a successful online course.

MGIMO is currently actively working on designing courses for Coursera. During the meeting, a number of demonstration courses were presented by MGIMO faculty members.
