Bulgarian Minister of Tourism Gives Talk to MGIMO Students

March 11th, the Bulgarian Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova came to MGIMO to meet with the leadership of the University and deliver a lecture to students and faculty members.

The guest was received by MGIMO’s Vice-Rector for General Affairs Artem Malgin. The sides discussed the organization of internships for students at MGIMO and in Bulgarian universities, the ways to promote tourism between the two countries, the creation of joint youth centers and other cultural initiatives.

Then, the Minister gave a talk on «140 years of Diplomatic Relations» and the ways tourism can help to promote friendly relations between Bulgaria and Russia. Nikolina Angelkova spoke about the history of bilateral relations and described the main activities of the Ministry, which aim to promote the growth of tourist flows to the country. The guest also took questions from the audience, in Russian and Bulgarian.

The event was attended by the Ambassador of Bulgaria to Russia Atanas Krastin, the Military Attache of Bulgaria T. Donchev, the Head of the International Office Egor Andreev, and representatives of the Ministry of Tourism of Bulgaria and the Bulgarian Embassy in Russia.
