The International Law School, one of the most prestigious schools of MGIMO, was founded in 1949. The School trains diversified specialists in international law for the diplomatic service and government bodies, as well as for legal departments of large corporations and small companies.

Since inception the Law School has developed a focus on the comparative study of legal systems of foreign states, especially in the field of international political and economic relations.

Alumni of the Law School have excellent careers at leading Russian law firms and Russian branches of such international corporations as Clifford Chance, Herbert Smith, Allen & Overy, White & Case, Baker & McKenzie and others.
